Are my deposit accounts FDIC insured?
Yes! Every individual customer is insured by the FDIC* to the full extent permissible by law. A depositor can have more than $250,000 at one insured bank and still be fully insured provided the accounts meet certain requirements. Individual, joint and retirement accounts are insured separately. What exactly is Online Banking?
It's a quick, convenient tool that lets you do all your banking on line. All you need is a Personal computer with an Internet connection.

What can I do with Online Banking?
You can view account balances, transfer money, check your transaction history, pay bills - basically anything you can do at your bank branch- but there's much more. Check out our Online Banking Demo or contact us and see how you can personalize your banking experience with Internet banking.

When can I access Online Banking?
Anytime. As long as you have an Internet connection you can get account information 24 hours a day, 7 days a week!

What accounts will I be able to access with Online Banking?
Your checking, savings, CDs, IRA's and loan accounts can all be accessed via Online Banking. It's a tool that gives you as much access, versatility, and security as possible.

What are the technical requirements to use the Online Banking service?
All you need is a secure browser that supports 128 bit encryption, such as Microsoft Internet Explorer® or Netscape®. You can use any computer that has Internet access.

Can I create my own password?
Yes. You will start with an assigned password, but after you login for the first time you may change it.

What happens if I forget my password?
If you forgot your password, click the Forgot Password link located underneath the login.

Can I schedule recurring payments?
Yes. You can schedule your payments to best suite your lifestyle. Payments can be set up to recur on weekly, monthly, and even annual schedules.

Is it difficult to register for electronic bill payment?
Actually, it couldn’t be easier. Once your online banking membership is established, you will automatically be registered for electronic bill payment, provided you have a qualifying account. . Which accounts can I use electronic bill payment with?
Only checking accounts and money market accounts* that offer check writing can be used for bill payments.

*There may be transactional limitations on money market accounts. Please see your account disclosure for more information.

How do I set up Direct Deposit of my payroll check?
If your employer participates in a direct deposit program, you may set up a direct deposit account. We will provide our routing and transit number with your account number. Just give this information to the human resources or payroll department at your company, and you will start receiving direct deposits within approximately thirty days.

When is bill payment available?
You can use our bill payment service anytime, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Can I use bill payment when I'm out of the country?
Yes! Bill payment is an excellent way to make sure your bills are being paid while you're traveling. All you need is access to a secure Internet browser, and you can pay bills from anywhere.

Who can I pay with the bill payment system?
You can use our bill payment service to pay anyone (in the United States) you would normally pay using checks. This includes charge accounts, auto loans, professionals, utilities, even a relative. However, tax payments and court directed payments cannot be processed with the bill payment system.

What happens if I pay my bills on the weekend or on a holiday?
You can set up your payments anytime, but like regular banking, these payments will not be processed until the first business day after a weekend or holiday.

Can I cancel a pending bill payment?
If you set up a bill payment in advance, it may be canceled at any time up until midnight of the day prior to the assigned processing date. After a payment has been processed, you may place a stop payment on bills that have been processed via a check, provided the check is still outstanding. However, payments that have been remitted electronically cannot be stopped once they are processed.

Can I set up Direct Deposit of my Social Security check?
Yes. We will provide our routing and transit number with your account number. Then stop by your local NYCB branch or call us, and we will assist you with the set up.

If I bank online, can I still get account information by phone?
Yes, you can still get account information 24 hours a day, 7 days a week by phone. Just call (877) 786-6560.
